昨日、AMSAT-NA 副会長からの返事を紹介しましたが、今度は
AO-51 の管制局から、もう１通、丁寧な返答が来ました。

物理的にはこれらのモード(V/US)を実行することはできる。しかし、
S-送信電力を調整することができないという理由から実際上は良い
アイデアではない。 SQRX-受信機は、送信機に使われる電流のうち、
約100mA を L-アップリンクに必要とする。また低電力の U-バンド
送信機も動作させなければならない。実際昨日、テレメトリを調べ
てみようと U-送信機と S-バンドの両方を少しだけ動作させてみた。
その時、バッテリーは耐えていられなかった。また、テレメトリを
周期的に得るためにモードを切り替えることは、ほとんど挑戦的な
ことであろう。

Hello Mineo,
Physically we can run those modes, practically it is not as good
an idea, since we cannot adjust the S transmitter power.
The SQRX receiver need for the L uplink uses about 100 mA of
current that could be used by a transmitter.
We would have to run the U band transmitters on lower power.
I actually had both U transmitters plus the S on briefly yesterday,
anxious to look at the telemetry. During that time it was pulling
hard on the batteries.
The other issue is switching modes to periodically get telemetry
would be a little more challenging.
